Six months of snow (and counting)

April 14 and the first day walking in hiking boots instead of winter Sorels and snowshoes.  It's been a VERY long winter and there is still a lot of snow on the ground.  It was a great day out at the park walking along the packed ski trails.  Here's some artsy photos - when the predominant colour is grey/white/black, then you really notice the textures.

I don't remember the lake ever being frozen this late in the spring.

One bright spot of colour - the picnic table still buried under snow.

And a whole village of shelf mushrooms marching up the tree trunk!!
